Boomtown Fair
Boomtown Fair is a large-scale immersive music festival built around a living storyworld. Comprising a dozen themed districts, the festival combines music, architecture, performance, and interactive storytelling to create a richly detailed environment inhabited by recurring characters, evolving narratives, and distinctive scenic identities. Since its founding in 2008, Boomtown's story has unfolded chapter by chapter, with each annual event introducing new conflicts, characters, and audience-led discoveries. Through a mix of large-scale stages, theatrical interventions, and environmental storytelling, festival-goers are invited to actively participate in the world and influence their own journey through the city of Boomtown.
These projects are also featured in my practice-based PhD,
